Barbara Ungar at Albany Book Festival, Feature at “Poetic License – Albany” Show Reading

Dr. Barbara Ungar, professor of English, will be at the New York Writers Institute and UAlbany’s 2022 Albany Book Festival on Saturday, September 17, 10:30-4:00. Ungar will be in booth 12 along with many other authors.

Ungar will be reading Wed. Sept. 28, 6:30 p.m. at the Art Association Gallery, 21 Railroad Ave., Albany, as part of “Poetic License,” a show of art work inspired by the work of local poets, including Jill Crammond, a former MFA student, who will also read, as well as Megeen Mulholland, Charlie Rossiter, Jennifee, Tom Corrado, and Brian Liston whose work inspired the visual art hanging on the gallery walls.

The show runs through Sept., then moves to Lark Hall, 351 Hudson Ave., Oct. 7-28, with an opening Oct. 7, 6-9 p.m.

Eurie Dahn will present a talk entitled “Black Magazines,” and Barbara Ungar will read work from a new book, Save Our Ship, winner of the Ashland Poetry Prize.
