Hollis Seamon Story in Quarry

Hollis Seamon’s story, “Death is the New Sleep,” is included in Quarry: Crime Stories by New England Crime Writers. The story in the anthology as winner of the 2009 Al Blanchard Award, given by Sisters in Crime, New England chapter.  The award will be given at the 2009 Crime Bake Conference, which runs from November 13-15, 2009, where Hollis has been invited to be a guest

Hollis will also be appearing on a panel of mystery writers on December 12, 2009 at the Kinderhook Memorial Library, 5.pm.  Other panelists are Archer Mayor, Robert Knightly and Nancy Means Wright.

“The story is set in on Lake Waukewan, Meredith, New Hampshire and two of its main characters are my dogs, Alex and Maggie,” Hollis said. “Alex is no longer with us, in real life, but Maggie is still bouncing at age 16.” Pictures of the real-life pups below.
